The Nine Lives Yoga Rave is coming back for a celebration of life and connection in Brighton on Friday the 11th December and we are packing love and devotion into this line up from amazing geometric string art from Ke-V to incredible sound healing frequencies and shamanic music melded into house and techno with Lu:sid (Fabio Garces). This time we kick start the energy of the night with focussed intention in cacao ceremony hosted by Rozy Kalliabetsos. And that's not all...we have some special magic for you this time for your yoga raving souls, join the RaveLOVEution.
Nine Lives Yoga Rave where music and yoga unite. Yoga lovers experience the rhythm of the bass and bass lovers experience the rhythm of the breath. Dance music builds behind a humandala flow practice into vinyasa flow and ecstatic style movement until we cut lose on the dance floor for a proper rave up. Let all your senses be tantalised as we curate an incredible collaboration of performers and UV installations and led into a deep meditation to close.
We have been touring around the festival circuit this summer at Yoga Connects, Wilderness with Sunday Assembly and even zipping off to Oslo to join the Movement Arts tribe with our yoga rave offering and we have been greeted with open hearts and minds. It has been wonderful to witness people throwing themselves into the body painting and flowing in unison, and now we are coming home to give you the best we have to offer.
The venue is All Saint's church in Hove which is absolutely stunning and we have an inspiring taltented crew of performers and conscious collective bringing their own unique energy to the night.

Nine Lives Yoga presents a Conscious Clubbing Yoga Rave this Christmas
Nine Lives Yoga presents a conscious clubbing experience that offers a fresh alternative to booze and tinsel. The Yoga Rave, to be held on 11 December at All Saints Church in Hove, promises a lot to get excited about. Cutting-edge artist Lu:sid will play a hybrid live set combining deep meditative sound healing, merging into a full-on dance party while Cat Duval, of Nine Lives Yoga, leads a team of yoga teachers in a flow that fuses yoga styles through a group Humandala, into vinyasa with a deep meditation to close. There is even an opportunity for an acroyoga jam so come, connect and play! Here’s a flavour of what to expect.
Returning from a summer of yoga raving at international festivals including Wilderness and Movement Arts in Oslo, the Nine Lives Yoga crew is back in Brighton for one last yoga rave up for 2015. Newcomers to the ‘conscious’ scene will be led through a yoga sequence into banging tunes, dancing barefoot, high on life and raw cacao. Yoga lovers experience the rhythm of the bass and bass lovers experience the rhythm of the breath. As the dance music and energy builds throughout the evening, 300 yoga ravers will connect to breathe and flow together and break into a full on rave up.
Cat Duval leads the yoga flow accompanied by a team of teachers all dressed in UV. Their glow will guide you through a yoga sequence suitable for all levels from total newbies to experienced practitioners. Lu:sid (Fabio Garces) of Sonic Enchantment explores ancient shamanic sound healing practices and modern acoustic technology to merge frequencies used in acoustic therapy with deep house and techno, exploring its capacity to elicit a state of euphoria in the body and the re-emergence of balance and inner calm. The stunning All Saints Church will be transformed with bespoke UV decor from France’s innovative designer, Ke-V, who will create visual bliss with his unique string art. But it’s not just the venue that will be decorated, Yoga Ravers are also encouraged to adorn their faces and bodies in UV paint with the help of the Yoga Rave Ambassadors of Light. The Nine Lives Yoga Rave crew features a wealth of performers including LED stilt walkers with Jen the Roo, and Acroyoga jam with the Acroyoga Brighton community, LED hooping from the intimitable Lara, and dance floor African rhythms massage with Magnus the Masseur, plus a therapy area hosted by About Balance. There will be stalls selling healthy smoothies, snacks and raw chocolate with All Good Things and Lucy’s Luscious Chocolates.
With a strictly no alcohol, no drugs policy, participants will be treated instead to a cacao ceremony led by Rozy Kalliabetsos. Yoga Ravers are invited to set the vibe of the night with the heart-expanding qualities of ceremonial cacao to plug into a clear intention for the night and for the festive season. Packed with antioxidants, raw cacao is a natural stimulant and has joined the superfood ranks. It has been used in tribal ceremonies for hundreds of years. Cat Duval, founder of Nine Lives Yoga reflects on her summer of yoga raving and why a conscious Christmas yoga rave is a welcome addition to Brighton and Hove’s festive scene: “We’ve had a wonderful reception from festival-goers across the UK and Europe experiencing their first yoga rave. People have the space to be playful in their practice, paint each other in UV and dive deep into the rave. We invite everybody with every body type to this alternative festive celebration. Connect with friends in a stunning space and see what you take away from the experience. All the soul and collective charge we put into our Yoga Raves make them really special. This is raving with heart to make mindful mayhem this Christmas!”
The Nine Lives Yoga Rave will be held at 6.30pm-10.30pm on Friday 11 December at All Saints Church in Hove.
